Copy of Pet Portraits

In order to confirm your booking for a custom pet portrait a deposit is required.  This is a non-refundable deposit that goes towards your final total.  This deposit confirms you're on the customs waiting list.  Turnaround time for custom work after your deposit is 4-16 weeks. Please make a note on your deposit what you would like to order and the date that you need it by. 

After You've Ordered:

All custom artwork must be paid in full before I start your painting and is non returnable as it is custom work specifically made just for you. After ordering please email me your favourite photo/photos. Please let me know beforehand if there is a specific date you need your work completed by and I will do my best to accommodate. Once your artwork is completed, I will email you a photo for approval before varnishing your artwork.  Paintings do need to be framed in order to be hung as they are completed on fine watercolour paper. 

Reference Photos: To get the best results from your portrait, high-quality photos are a must! Please, no screenshots. It is important to send high quality, clear photos to work from that are in a pose you LOVE!  This is especially true for the 11×14 and 18×24 size. I can only work with the photos you have given me as I don’t personally know your pets.  The better the photo, the better the painting will be. Please send multiple photos, that way I can reference different ones for different details if needed. ex. one photo might show their eyes better and another their fur markings ect.  Please specify in your email which photo you like best that you would like as your "main" photo and I will try and make it work. Prints and Merchandise:  Absolutely! If you are interested in prints I am able to create custom prints to the size you want.

If you are interested in purchasing merchandise from Society6 with your pet’s portrait, I include a free upload of your pet’s file.  Society6 is an independent company and manages the print and shipment of your product and are based out of the States, but have high quality products.

Requests: Can you make an specific requests? of course! If there is a specific colour you want me to include or avoid, just make sure to let me know when sending photos. If you want me to include a specific collar, tag, bow, ect. please let me know beforehand and include photos of what you want to include before I get started.

Changes to the Painting: It is very important to let me know any specifics beforehand as watercolour can be quite unforgiving afterwards. I always do my best to accommodate small changes after sending the final proof. 

All custom work is final sale and must be paid in full before starting.

PLEASE NOTE: **As the artist, Cari Johnston retains all copyrights to the artwork. The buyer must obtain written permission to reproduce said artwork for personal and commercial uses.  This includes any prints, products, advertising, ect.
